Rev. Rimes McElveen

Executive director

Rimes McElveen, a native of Gainesville, GA, graduated from Furman with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Urban Studies. He worked for the YMCA and Bell South before entering Duke Divinity School to earn a Master of Divinity. While at Duke, Rimes met his wife, Kathryn, who also graduated from Duke with an MDiv in 2000. Rimes and Kathryn soon married and began working for Hinton Rural Life Center—a UMC Mission Agency in Hayesville, NC. Rimes and Kathryn went on to serve as pastors of United Methodist churches in Georgia and North Carolina. Rimes served as Sr. Pastor of Bethelview UMC in Cumming, GA and Bethpage UMC in Kannapolis, NC before joining MCF as Executive Director in July 2007.

Rev. Grayson Hiatt

Assistant director

Grayson Hiatt grew up in Florence, SC before moving to the Upstate to attend Anderson University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Theology and minor in Music. While working as the Family Pastor for Thrive Church Greenville, he completed his Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary in 2022. Grayson is passionate about helping individuals discover their personal faith and teaching Bible and theology with a hearty dose of tomfoolery. He and his wife, Caroline, are proud parents of their two daughters, Ellis and Junia, and love playing an active role in their community by participating in small groups, serving in the arts and music, and creating safe spaces to foster hospitality. Grayson began working at MCF in 2023.
